What came first? The chicken or the egg?

Well, in our case, the chicken.

We grew up raising large animals, but Drew always wanted chickens. His mom told him at a young age when he had his own place he could have chickens. Upon purchasing our farm in 2015, we (Drew) knew we wanted to raise chickens. We purchased our first 10 laying hens from a local FFA member. From then we were hooked. Our boys love raising chickens and the hens are very much part of our family. Chickens have great personalities and are a lot of fun to raise from baby chicks to our senior ladies.

“If you are ready to make the switch from store bought to farm fresh eggs I would definitely recommend trying Hatmaker eggs. You can tell the difference the moment you crack the egg. The yolk is a vibrant orange and stands up in the pan. They have a rich, fresh taste. I can call Holli and she will go right to the coop for my eggs. We have never been disappointed in the quality of their eggs.”
